One similarity between Chinese and Japanese religious beliefs is that
both put a great emphasis on the importance of worshiping and
respecting our ancestors. In fact, there is a link between the two, as
it is widely accepted that many of the ancestral worship practiced in
Japan have actually evolved from practices that were first present in
Chinese belief systems.
