Describe how you could draw a diagram for a problem about finding the total length for 2 strings, 15 inches long and 7 inches long.

Answer: You could add the strings together to get 22 inches.

For a diagram of this simply draw two line segments that are right next to each other.

You could measure and label the smaller one with 7 units and the larger one with 15 units. Then, anyone could just count to 22 to find the total.
