a). Perihelion . . . the point in Earth's orbit that's closest to the Sun.
                            We pass it every year early in January. 


b). Aphelion . . . the point in Earth's orbit that's farthest from the Sun.
                          We pass it every year early in July. 

c). Proxihelion . . . a made-up, meaningless word
