surfacant. The surfacant found in foaming cleansers is referred to as sodium laurel sulfate. It is agent that is responsible for foaming characteristic of these cleansers. This chemical forms all those gratifying little bubbles that disappear after a few seconds. Surfacant can be irritating especially to the individuals with sensitive skins.
