How is the seniority rule an unfair advantage in selection of committees?

the answer is Seniority overlooks ability.
One advantage that seniors employees have is that they tend to have more experience in that certain industry.
But, this does not mean that they're always more productive to the newer employees because the younger ones may beat them in innovation/creativity.
