An increase of 75 percent on Juvenile arrests for violent crimes occurred between 1985 and 1994. Murder arrest committed by young people increased between the years 1987 and 1993. Between 1993 and 2000, there was a decline in juvenile arrests. The juvenile violent crime arrest was at its lowest in 2000 since 1985.
