To make the Absolute Value Graph translate down 15.5 units, you subtract 15.5 from the equation as seen here --> y=|x|-15.5
If y=|x|+(n) then translate up (n) units
If y=|x|-(n) then translate down (n) units
If y=|x-(n)| then translate right (n) units
If y=|x+(n)| then translate left (n) units
These can be added together, so for instance you could have [tex] y=|x-(n_{1})+(n_{2}) [/tex]
