It's either burst or bursted.

It just feels more like a past tense sentence.

The rock band burst onto the music scene with their catchy songs.
The rock band bursted onto the music scene with their catchy songs.
The rock band bursts onto the music scene with their catchy songs.

But I'm leaning more towards bursted.
