5x+10=30+10x

5x+10=30+10x
-5x=20
x=-4

5x+10=30+10x    the problem

-5x -30 -30 -5x 

*which then gives you -20=5x

x=-4

1. Subtract 5x on both sides with like terms and then subtract 30

2. Then you divide 5 to get x alone which gives you -4 :) That's it
