Explanation:

Distillation is the separation technique which can be used for separation of any two liquids of different boiling points.

The boiling point of water is near 100 degree celsius while that of alcohol is less than it.

So if we separate them with distillation, then alcohol will separate out first.

If two liquids have close boiling points then we can use fractional distillation.
