The equation is 1/2(x - 4) = 1/3x + 2

 1/2(x - 4) = 1/3x + 2
multiply by : 6
3(x-4) = 2x +4
solution easier:
3x -12 = 2x +4
3x - 2x = 12+4
 x = 16
