Why would a public official pay attention to what a poll says?

They would have to pay attention because the voice of the people is what makes presidents, vice presidents etc go into office. Our voice is what makes this country strong.

An unbiased poll will describe what do people think and want. Then, a public government official can see what do the people need, and make changes to gain their favor.
