Gender stereotypes have became less popular but are still around today. In the 1900's, women were not aloud to vote, were expected to take care of the children, and still have food on the table when the husbands got home from work. Today, we are more separated with toys and clothing. Boys are supposed to be more into cars and video games. While girls are supposed to be into makeup and dolls.
