When would you use the informal (sometimes called the colloquial) level of standard English usage

Had to look for the options and here is my answer:
The only time that it would be appropriate to use the informal level of standard English or also what we call as colloquial is when CONVERSING OR TALKING WITH FAMILY OR FRIENDS. Hope this answers your question.
