Hello there.

The usual price of a toy was $64. a shop sold the toy to customers at $72. find the percentage increase in price.

Answer: Work out the difference between the new number and the old one.
72 - 64 = 8
Then you divide the increase by the original number.
8/ 64 =  0.125.
Then multiply by 100.
0.125 x 100 = 12.5
Therefore the percentage increase is 12.5%

Hope This Helps You!
Good Luck Studying ^-^
