So 120/2 and x/4 p.s it can also be written 120/x = 2/4 depending on which way you like to solve proportions. Cross multiply 4· 120= 480 and 2·X= 2x Divide 480 by 2 and x= 240

x miles - 4 hours
cross multiply:
