a. Using a number line, you have to divide the line into 6 equal pieces since it is 1/6. Then at the first mark write 3 because 1 of the six marks is 3 muffins. Then you keep adding three so 3,6,9,12,15,18. There are 18 muffins. And to check your work the equation is x= 3(6) x= 18.
b. Since 6/6 equals all the muffins and 1/6 has nuts that means 5/6 of the muffins do not have nuts.
