Arthur, if he existed, was many hundreds of years before knights were invented. He was (probably) a Romano-Celtic warlord, who fought against the invading English after the Romans left. He used cavalry, which led to his success. 

He fought AGAINST the English (Anglo-Saxons), and he was no king. No knights, stone castles, round table, nor anything like that.
