ha does anyone know how to do this problem 5(16÷4)+17

The answer is 37 because you do what's in parentheses first then multiply that by 5. Once you do that, you add 17 and get your answer.

Parentheses first so you would then have 5(4)+17. Then you multiply 5x4 to get 20+17 which would leave you with a final answer if 37.
