x=-1

Explanation

[tex]8=2^{\left(x+4\right)}[/tex]

Step 1

a)write 8 as the third power of 2, so

[tex]\begin{gathered} 8=2^{\left(x+4\right)} \\ 8=2^3,so \\ 2^3=2^{\left(x+4\right)} \end{gathered}[/tex]

b)the base is the same,so the expontes are equal

[tex]\begin{gathered} 2^{3}=2^{(x+4)} \\ 3=x+4 \end{gathered}[/tex]

c) finally, to isolate x subtract 4 in both sides

[tex]\begin{gathered} 3=x+4 \\ 3-4=x+4-4 \\ -1=x \end{gathered}[/tex]

therefore, the answer is

x=-1

I hope this helps you
