The perimeter will be multiplied by √a

From the problem, the are of the square is multiplied by 1/9, so we need to get the square root of that factor to get the factor for the perimeter.

[tex]\sqrt[]{\frac{1}{9}}=\frac{1}{3}[/tex]

Therefore, the answer is C. multiplied by 1/3
