solution:

D = m/V

[tex]m = 38.6g[/tex]

[tex] = 0.0386kg[/tex]

[tex]v = 2 {cm}^{3} [/tex]

[tex] = 0.000002 {m}^{3} [/tex]

then substitute the values.

[tex]d = \frac{0.0386}{0.000002} [/tex]

[tex]d = 19300kg | {m}^{3} [/tex]

therefore, the density of the sample gold is 19300kg/m3
