How can inheriting certain genes increase a person’s risk for cancer?

Yes, due to most underlying issues being generic

Some times a person can have an increased of having cancer if it runs in their family or if the recessive gene is inherited from both parents causing their offspring to have that gene become unhidden in that person and run a higher risk of cancer (what I remember from biology)
