Erik walked 19 1/2 feet. if each of his steps was 2 1/6 feet long, how many steps did he take?

To find:

1) divide the total space by
the space of each step
2) 19 1/2 divided by 2 1/6

3) since we worked with the same units of measure the units stay the same

He took 9 steps
