2 /1 x 7/3 equals 14/3 or 4 and 2/3

First, you set up your problem,

2* 2 1/3

Next, you turn your mixed fraction into an improper fraction.

Here is how our problem looks so far.

2* 7/3.

Now we multiply 2, which is our whole number, by 7, our numerator.

We have 14/3.

All we need to do now is to simplify it.
