because the person's attitude that believes they are unlovable can affect the self-esteem and attitude of those around them. they lash out and push everyone away because of feeling that way and hurts others feelings to get them to leave them alone, and the person being pushed away can feel unlovable as well. just like how secondhand smoke spreads to the non-smokers around them.
