In triangle ABC angle c = 180-78-40 = 62 degrees

For the triangles to be congruent angle z must equal angle C

Solve for x:

2x + 8 = 62

Subtract 8 from both sides:

2x = 54

Divide both sides by 2:

X = 27

Now we k ow x has to equal 27 to be concurrent so we can answer the 3 questions.
