To solve the equation above, we have to isolate the variable z on one side and transpose all other value to the other side. We solve as follows:

25(z + 2) = 125
1/25(25(z + 2) = 125)
z + 2 = 125/25 = 5
z + 2 - 2 = 5 - 2
z = 3
