A floor is 10 m long and 5 m wide. A square carpet of side 3 m is laid on the floor. Find the
area of the floor that is NOT carpeted.​

area of floor(A)=l*b=10*5=50m^2

area of square carpet(A')=l^2=3^2=9m^2

therefore area of the floor that is not carpeted is obtained as,

A-A'=50-9=41m^2
