No, then who would be elected for president or any other positions in office? Including the Senate.

Explanation:

A democracy must have two or more parties in its system. A one-party system is an authoritarian government like today's China or North Korea. No parties at all is complete anarchy cause you cannot possibly govern let alone a democracy without parties.
