how would you multiply negative numbers? or negative fractions for example -12 x 12 is what and please explain good

Answer:-12 x 12 =- 144.

What you do is multiply regularly then add the negative sign, but if your multiplying  2 negatives it’s a positive answer. I cant help with the Fractions caz I’m not good at them lol .
