 Let the least be x - 2. Then the middle is x and the greatest is x + 2. Then add these up and it should equal 48. Like this:x - 2 + x + x + 2 = 48 3x = 48 x = 16 
So the consecutive number of 48 is x - 2 = 14, which is the smallest number. Hope this helped and remember to mark as brainliest! :)
