Evaluate: xy - x (x - y^0) if x = 2 and y = -1/2

Hi

2(-1/2) - 2(2+(-1/2)^0)
= -2/2 - 2(2+(-1/2)^0)
 = -1 - 2(2+(-1/2)^0)
= -1 -2 (2+1)
= -1 -2(3)
= -1 -6
= -7
