The slope (m) of the line with coordinates of the points given is calculated through the equation, 
                                   m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
Substituting the values of the coordinates from the given,
                                    m = (5 - 6) / (4 - -2) = -1/6

Thus, the slope of the line is -1/6.
