Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that ,the height ,h in feet of a baseball after being stuck by a bat can be approximated by h(t) = [tex]-16t^2+100t +5[/tex]

a)

Now h(t) for t=3

h(3) =   [tex]-(16\times 3^2)+ (100\times 3)+5[/tex] = 161 feet

and h(t) for t= 5

h(5)[tex]=-(16\times 5^2)+ (100\times 5)+5[/tex]=105 feet

b)

Since the height of baseball decreases with respect of time . Its mean that the baseball come down .
