The given equation above is in slope - intercept form which is generally expressed as,

                                     y = mx + b

where m and b are slope and y-intercept, respectively.  From the given slope is equal to 2. The slope of the line perpendicular to this line is its negative reciprocal. Thus, the answer is -1/2.
