How to find the probability in a 2-card hand out of a deck of 52 cards that the cards will have different suits.

so there are 4 suits in a deck of cards, each suit containing 13 cards.
there is a 3/4 chance that 2 cards will have different suits, as there are more different possibilities than there are same.
