Society started to become very conservative to help provide for the war.

We were encouraged to plant community gardens to help with the food and crops since most things were reserved for soldiers.

Many things were rationed. You had a ration card you had and you couldn't take more of your ration.

More buisnesses were dedicated to helping the war to they would mostly provide their products to the war.

Women started taking mens roles in the work place due to them leaving for war.
