There are multiple chickens and rabbits in a cage. There are 72 heads and 200 feet inside of the cage. How many chickens are in there and how many rabbits?

28  rabbits and 44 chickens

x + y = 72
2x + 4y = 200
multiply the first equation by a -2
-2x - 2y = -144
2x + 4y = 200
2y = 56. y = 28
72-28 rabbits leaves 72-28 = 44 chickens
