They are both equal to 2/10 because 4/10 divided by 2 is the same as 4/10 x 1/2

When you are multiplying something by 1/2, you only multiply the number by 1, then proceed to divide it by the remaining 2. It is equal because ÷2 and ×1/2 produce the same results
