There is 2 ways to find the slope

[tex]\frac{rise}{run}[/tex][tex]\frac{y^{2} - y^{1}  }{x^{2} - x^{1}  } }[/tex]

[tex]y^{2} = -5 ,

x^{2} = 2 ,

y^{1} = 1 ,

x^{1} = 4[/tex]

[tex]\frac{-5 - 1 }{2 - 4} = \frac{-6}{-2} simplfy by dividing by -2 = \frac{3}{1}[/tex]
