Why do the chromosomes of daughter cells uncoil back to chromatin at the telophase of meiotic and mitotic cell divisions, but coil up again to form visible chromosomes after interphase? Isn't it simpler and more convenient for the chromosomes to coil up in 1 cell cycle?
