Hi I have question on solving algebraic fractions. How would I find the LCD for this?

(x/x+1)+(x-1/4)=(11/12)

I tried multiplying the denominator by the opposites (x+1 and 4) to make them the same denominator and then add them and cross multiply, however, I never got the right answer
